About The Data Store

Our founder has been researching family history since 1982 — and quickly learned that the hardest part wasn't finding the records, it was managing them. That frustration led to THE DATA STORE, founded in 2003 in Elderslie, NSW as Ausgen Family History Services, with our very first tool, Genota.

We're a small, privately owned operation with one goal: build software that helps genealogists make sense of their research. Today our tools are used by researchers and family history societies worldwide, and we're proud to sponsor the Campbelltown Family History Society
